Sifting Through

Today's one of those days where everything is sorta shitty but there's also a lot to be grateful for.

Like a good parent/teacher conference at my daughter's school where I feel like maybe I get some things right.

Like how vibrant the colors of the trees look against the overcast, gray background.

Like turning on the radio and hearing your song ("Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John) from the beginning.

Like meeting for lunch and allowing it all to come out (not lunch - gross) with a friend who's weathered every phase and been by your side, literally, for The Big Stuff. Christina was the one standing next to me, holding my hand, when I was in labor. And she wanted to be there! I love you, girl. Thank you.
