I Resolve Not To Cry In The Women's Restroom

My car's transmission is out. I can't afford to fix it, much less get a new car. I live in a town with next-to-no public transportation. This is one of the busiest weeks of the year at work. I'm so mad that I'm dependent on a stupid car! I'm mad at the car for not being more durable. I'm mad at a system that keeps single mothers toeing the poverty line!

There ain't enough Xanax or Calgon in the world....

It got worse. I picked the car up from the mechanic's and it wouldn't make it up the hill. Luckily I got some dudes to help me push it enough so I could coast it down the hill where it could die at my dad's house.

I have no car. And no back-up plan.

A cab?

I'll figure it out. I hitched a ride with a friend of Stella's today and got to work at 7:30 which turned out to be a very good thing.

Come on, people...have faith that the universe will take care of me! Or that's what I keep telling myself...over and over and over.
