If You Take One Piece Of Advice From Me, Take This:

If you're ever invited to a dinner of Brazilian food, lovingly and painstakingly prepared by a beautiful native, for the love of god, people, - GO!

Last night we were first fed little puffy, cheesy bread balls as an appetizer. I'd never watched anyone make caipirinhas in big batches, crushing the ice, lime and sugar altogether in a pitcher. Dinner was Bobo de Camarao, a thick, hearty, sensuous shrimp dish served over rice with cilantro & spicy peppers as an optional garnish. Dessert was a flan-like eggless papaya custard with coffee liqueur drizzled on top. A truly memorable meal.
The poorly-lit and blurry (what's new?) spread. SO GOOD!
