I Probably Just Shouldn't Ever Watch Television

Maybe I should make this a regular installment.

3 More Signs of the Apacolypse:

  1. Howie Mandel's resurgence.
  2. Pet insurance (and the fact that I think it's sort of a good idea).

This was totally my least favorite food show until Man vs. Food came along--Even that title makes me angry!

Serioulsy. The more I look at that photo the angrier I get! He represents everything I hate about Food Network, TGIFridays, men, and humanity in general.

Darren can't stand ol' Guy Fietti..
but it's only his constant bleach job and red shirts that bother me.
I have to agree wirh Miranda, this new Man vs. Food is the worst!

I don't get him, that guy, what's his name, with the sunglasses on the back of his head.
(But I like the Man vs. Food guy, he's okay. I actually like watching his show because he goes to some cool far off places. Kinda like Bourdain, but not as, um, tall... or nearly as cool.

I had the misfortune of catching "Howie Do It" because I actually like Friday Night Lights and was tuning in for that.

With a format like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, you almost forget Mr. Bleach Tips can even cook or that he won the Next Food Network star.

If you like diner food, you almost have to like DD&D. But like Guy Fieri or not, DD&D finds good places to eat and he does an excellent job of presenting and selling the restaurants and their food.

I've not yet seen Ultimate Recipe Challenge or his other shows. Apparently, though, Food Network considers him a great success.
